There’s an insane trading mechanism where money and rare pokemon or items are highly sought after thus raising the value. The one function that makes this game super different from every other pokemon game is the open market system. Everything you get must be bought, must be a drop, or traded. The region itself is very similar except there are no free items you can get. Second, there’s a rarity system in place so it takes much more grinding to get certain pokemon and obviously even more grinding to get rare pokemon with the right abilities and nature. There’s a lot of rng in this game and requires a lot of luck and grinding to get good pokemon. So all the pokemon you get will have random stats(IVs). You might be really comfortable with your previous knowledge of the pokémon games but pokemon planet is a much different version of it. I'd appreciate a link to some nerdy statistic sites :) Catch one or start with a magikarp and train it? I already looked into a lot but it seems like a lot of information is missing there.įor example I want to have a strong Nidoking and Dugtrio, but which stats are important? What about Gyrados. What's the "Move Bank" segment in a Pokemon's stats overview? I somehow messed around and now my starting Pokemon only has 4 times Vine Whip. I noticed there isn't and A and B button, just space bar. Is it still the same? How do I know if a pokemon is a "physical attack type" or "special attack type" without having a list of every abilities it can learn?īut what about secrets? Hidden in rocks or trees? I haven't found any so far. If you supress evolution they learn earlier and some abilities can't get learned at all if you evolve to quickly. I got the old 199x booklet and walkthrough and it exactly says what Pokemon learns what ability on which level. I understand IV and EV and later on I will look into breeding but atm more interested in how close the Kanto region in Pokemon Planet is to Pokemon Blue/Red/Yellow. I only played Gen1 as a teenager back then and now I started my big journey, again.
